Obituary for Robert Joseph Sample
Robert Joseph Sample, 46, of Chillicothe passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born October 31, 1977, in Peoria to Roy Joseph and Merry Linn Fuller Sample. His father; and both sets of grandparents, Eldon and Grace Sample and William and Helen Fuller preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Abigal Sample; mother, Merry (Richard) Durrstein of Chillicothe; siblings, Charmagne (Thomas) Berchtold, Helen Sample, Sabrina (Matt Dunshee) Higdon, Patrick (Jennifer) Hobbs, Nathan Hobbs, Alyssa Durrstein, Austin Durrstein, Alex Durrstein, Aric Durrstein; two grandchildren; eleven nieces; two nephews; three great-nieces and eight great-nephews.
Robert worked for Alco retiring in 2020.
He enjoyed fishing, baseball card collecting, tattoos, watching trains, flea markets and antique shops.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
