Obituary for Robert Eaglen
Robert E. Eaglen, 85, of Pekin, IL passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Morton Terrace in Morton, IL. He was born April 29, 1928 in Danville, IL to Robert R. and Helen Anderson Eaglen. He married Dolores Hack in Shelbyville, KY in 1948. She survives along with his daughters, Barbara (Charles) Grace of Carbondale, IL, Susan (Michael) Childress of Springfield, IL, Janet (Chuck) Osterman of Pekin, IL, Marcie (David) Stuckel of Pekin, IL, Terri (Chris) Leech of Cameron, MT, Amy (Tim Noonan) Fikri of Princeville, IL; grandchildren, Alex Childress, Jaime (Jim) Watrob, Sarah (Dru) Jojola, Katey Grace, Chip (Emily) Grace, Emma Childress, Natalie Reames, Justin (Rachel) Stuckel, Lee Stuckel, Taylor Fikri; six great-grandchildren and his faithful horse of 33 years, F.H. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert was the former owner of Pekin Lincoln Mercury retiring in 1980, after his retirement he worked for Mangold Ford in Eureka, IL. A devoted family man, Bob enjoyed horseback riding, taking long drives in the country, playing the drums and spending time with his family. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Friday, July 19th at 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior at Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Central Illinois Chapter in his name.
