Obituary for Robert Brown
Robert Wendell “Wendy” Brown 79, of Chillicothe passed away on Tuesday May 11, 2010 at his home. Born in Peoria on January 31, 1931 to Everett and Dorothy McSparin Brown. He married Julia Shride in Peoria on June 9, 1972. She survives along with his children: Bunny Brown of Chillicothe and Matthew Brown of Sierra Vista, AZ, his 3 grandchildren and his many other close family and friends. His parents and 2 brothers preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Pekin High School. Wendy was a Processor at Caterpillar for 48 years, retiring in 1995. He was very involved in local theater. Wendy acted and directed in many Caterpillar, Corn Stock, Chillicothe Summer Theater and Peoria Players productions. He also at one point was an active member of the Peoria Ski Club. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church and Northwoods Church. Cremation has been accorded and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
