Obituary for Robert Benninger
Robert Gerald Benninger 66, of Creve Coeur passed away Tuesday November 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1944 to Jerry and Mildred Kelly Benninger in Pekin. He married Juanita “Jean” Grube in Pekin on December 17, 1989. She survives along with his 3 sons; Jon Benninger of Mason City, Jerry (Tricia) Benninger of Lincoln, and Jeff Benninger of Carroll, IA. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and his 2 sisters; Irene Guare of Bloomington and Irma Leesman of Harrison, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Betty Detmers. Robert served in the US Air Force and worked in construction retiring in 2009. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, 628 S. Main Street Creve Coeur, where a Celebration of Life will be held Friday November 12, 2010 for 6 to 8 pm. Cremation has been accorded and memorials may be made to his wife to assist with expenses.
