Obituary for Rita Louise Klingaman
Rita Louise Klingaman, 64, of Edelstein passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her residence after a long eight-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Rita was born on January 13, 1956 in East Chicago, Indiana to George and Mary Schuljak.
Rita raised six children and was an amazing and devoted mother. Rita loved her children dearly. Being a mother meant everything to Rita. That’s who she was.
Rita is survived in death by her two daughters, Lynn (Scott) Barker, Maria (Seth) Leitner; four sons, Walter (Patom) Klingaman, Evan Klingaman, Maxwell Klingaman, Neal Klingaman; one sister, Paula; four brothers, George (Mary), Tom (Barb), Rob (Maureen), Steve; six plus a bonus grandchildren, Layne, Hayden, Brek, Izaak, Jase, Levi, Xavier and mother-in-law, Janice Klingaman.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents; her youngest brother, Patrick, and her father-in-law, Gene Klingaman.
Rita believed there was good in everyone. She was kind and patient. She was stubborn as hell, but so sweet. Rita was a lover and also a fighter. She loved hard and fought so hard for the ones she loved. She endured so much pain for others’ happiness. She was magnificent. We didn’t deserve Rita. She will be truly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
