Obituary for Richard Utt
Richard Eugene Utt, 72, of Peoria, IL. passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was born March 3, 1944 in Canton, IL. He is survived by his wife, Becky Ann Johnson, whom he married on April 16, 1988.
Preceding in death father, John Utt, of Canton and mother, Fern Riley, of Peoria. Also preceding him in death are, one brother, David Utt, Canton, IL., and a special cousin, Larry Utt, St. David, IL.
Surviving are two sons, Lee & Ricky Swearingen, one brother, John Utt, Morton, IL. & one half brother Gerald Androli, Minneapolis, step daughter Sara Johnson Peoria, IL. And her children, Samantha Johnson & Sebastian Kurtz. He had a very close relationship with niece, Dana Utt Power, whom was like a daughter to him, and nephews, Bradley and Larry Utt, Jr.
Rick was very devoted to his loving wife, Becky. He had extensive medical issues for years that brought them closer together. They were thankful and appreciative of each day they had together. Rick had a very gentle and sweet spirit and was very much liked by many health professionals who provided care for him.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, motorcycles, playing his guitar, singing country music, and most of all being with family.
Memorial graveside services are pending at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria, IL.
