Obituary for Richard R. Gaddie
Richard R. Gaddie, 59, of Marquette Heights passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care in East Peoria.
He was born on April 5, 1966, in Stuttgart, Germany to Richard L. and Bonnie C. Grove Gaddie. His father; stepfather, Jack W. Marsh and sister, Charlene E. Gaddie preceded him in death.
Richard is survived by his son, Eli Rea Gaddie; grandchild, Remi Rea Anne Gaddie; mother, Bonnie C. Marsh and brother, Paul Gaddie.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked as a brick layer until 2000.
Richard was a gunsmith and blacksmith creating historical muzzle loaders. He was fondly known in reenactments as “King Richard”.
Cremation has been accorded and private graveside services will be held.
