Obituary for Richard "Bud" A. Severns
Richard "Bud" Allen Severns, 75, of Washington passed away on May 24, 2018, in Peoria. He was born October 5, 1942 to Richard and Dora Ruth (Harness) Severns, in Peoria IL. He was a cherished loving husband and father. He married Glenda Burkhart June 30, 1963. Richard is survived by his wife, Glenda; daughters, Julie Davis (Paul), Tina Benson (Rick Yates), Sara Noblin (Ronnie); siblings Danny Severns (Sherry) and Doris Phillips, sister-in-law, Jae Severns; grandchildren, Brandon and Zach Little, Erica and Brock Davis, Brianna Phalin, Elizabeth Benson, Amber Justice, Anthony Noblin; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Jace Little, Damien and Gabriel Sale, Joseph Mann, Anna Marie and Oliver Justice; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Gary Severns, sister Mary Cogdill, brothers-in law Dale Cogdill and Don Phillips. He loved fishing, hunting, wood carving and carpentry. He was an employee at Caterpillar, retiring in 2000. Friends and family are welcome to attend the celebration of life service on Sunday, June 3 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sunnyland #1 Stop, 2466 Washington Rd., Washington, Illinois, 61571.
