Obituary for Rebecca L. Bridges
Rebecca L. Bridges, 62, of Peoria passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at her residence.
She was born May 21, 1960, in Peoria to Paul and Marilyn Moss Mann. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Joey Mortimeyer; niece, Stephanie Williams and her dog, Peanut.
She is survived by her children, Christina Johnson, Nick (Becci) Johnson; grandchildren, Stephanie, Hailey, Makayla, Mason, Emily, Kynzie; great-grandchildren, Sam, Charlotte; siblings, Robin Brown, Sara Mortimeyer, Geneva Mann-Brown and nephew, Johnny (Tori) Mortimeyer.
Rebecca worked at UnityPlace retiring in 2023. She worked with women as an outreach, helping them on their recovery journeys with the goal of reuniting them with their families. She completed the Drug & Alcohol Counselor training program at ICC and became a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor. She supervised multiple internships of DACT students. She was an exemplary employee and ran parenting skill groups.
Rebecca loved her family, cruises, and animals. She will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens mausoleum in Peoria.
