Obituary for Raymond J. Walker
Raymond J. Walker 67, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday May 7, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Peoria on Feb 14, 1941 to Benjamin and Beulah Clark Walker. He married Sandra Lavaux in Peoria on March 30, 1963, she survives along with son Timothy (Christina) Walker of Green Valley, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents, 2 brothers and son Ronnie Walker preceded him in death. Raymond served in the Army and worked for Caterpillar for 30 years as an Inspector of Quality Assurance, retiring in 1994. He was an avid golfer and liked to hunt and was a member of the New Life Christian Fellowship Church in North Pekin. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in his name to his church. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
