Obituary for Ray J. Sheaffer
Ray J. Sheaffer 78, of Morton formally of Sunnyland passed away on Monday March 3, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Born in Peoria on February 28, 1930, the son of Ray and Helen Nyberg Sheaffer. He married Phyllis Jenkins in Peoria in 1963, she preceded him in death in December of 2006 along with his parents. His sons; Terry of East Peoria, Danny of South Carolina and his 3 grandchildren are surviving. Ray worked as a Casting Maker for the Peoria Foundry, retiring in 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy.
