Obituary for Ray Chance Sr.
Ray F. Chance Sr., 83, of Washington passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1934 in East Peoria to Fred and Viola Uppola Chance. He married Mary Louise Anderson; she preceded him in death July 28, 2016. His daughter, Teresa; sisters, Dorothy, Joanne and brothers, Robert, Leroy, Al, Bill, Edwin and Milford all preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Ray F. Chance Jr., Sue (Bentley) Hall, Johnny (Terri) Chance, Terry (Randy) Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother Gary Chance and many nieces and nephews. Ray served in the U.S. Army and worked as a plumber for Local #63; retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working on cars. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation in his name.
