Obituary for Pierre Charles Bouquet
Pierre Charles Bouquet 94, of Eureka passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2008 at Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka where he had been residing since July 5, 2001. Born June 6, 1914, in Verneil, Normandy, France to Eugene Bouquet and Germaine Rabier Bouquet, he married Beulah Elizabeth McDonald on June 12, 1980 in West Palm Beach Florida. She preceded him in death on July 16, 1999. He also was preceded in death by his sister Francoise Gaffori of Porticca, Corsica, France in May 2007. He is survived by a brother, Lucien Bouquet of Arrigny, France, several nieces and nephews, his very close friends, Robert and Micheline Fink and their sons Robert, his godson, James and Daniel. He was a veteran of War World II-French Army, He graduated from Louis LeGrand College and L’ecole National where he received a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Upon graduation he was sent to the United States by the French Government to aid in the purchasing for the Marshall Plan in 1949. He than in 1951 joined Caterpillar as a translator. Pierre was of the Methodist faith. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge Florida. Memorials may be made to Maple Lawn Health Center at 700 N. Main Eureka 61530. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting with the arrangements.
