Obituary for Phillip Wayne Burgess Sr.
Phillip Wayne Burgess Sr. was 54 years old. He died February 3, 2017 at Methodist Hospital at 12:08 a.m.
Phillip leaves behind his three kids; Phillip Wayne Burgess Jr. 35 years old, Joseph Dwayne Burgess 34, years old, Jessica Kay Thompson 25 years old, his brothers and sisters; Ralph “Mike” (Cathy) Burgess, Mark Burgess, Diane (Don) Sutter, Georgia Archa, Linda Burgess, his grandchildren; Lawerence Garcia, Gage Burgess, Gabby Burgess, Ariyah Burgess, Kylea Thompson and Kallea Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Burgess, mother Mary Simmons, step-father Eugene Simmons, sister Sally Burgess and brother Eugene “Geno” Burgess.
Phillip Wayne Burgess Sr. was a great father, grandfather and friend. Phillip was a very unique individual. He definitely had a lot of personality, for those who knew him you understand.
He enjoyed every aspect of life and could even face the greatest challenges that were presented to him. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. Phillip had a heart of gold. Even under the worst circumstances Phillip was definitely the person that could still make you smile and laugh. Phillip also enjoyed sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, fishing and helping others. He also enjoyed volunteering and doing charity work.
He will truly be missed by all and most of all, always have a special place in our hearts.
