Obituary for Paula M. Ahles
Paula M. Ahles, 68, of Washington, IL passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born July 17, 1954, in Breckenridge, MN to Paul and Grace Cubb Ahles. Her parents; sister, Mary Amundsen and nephew, Jimmy Amundsen preceded her in death.
She married Sandra Surface June 21, 2014, in East Peoria, IL; she survives. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Ahles and nephew, Steve Amundsen.
Paula was a Professor at Illinois Central College retiring in 2018.
She loved teaching and watching sports. She enjoyed Pickle Ball, reading, playing handbells at church, walking and exercise classes. Most of all Paula loved her wife and her cats, Theo, Allie, Sasha and Sammy.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at First Christian Church 6400 N. University Street, Peoria, IL 61614.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or TAPS in her name.
