Obituary for Orville Beasley
Orville Raymond Beasley 92, of Washington passed away at 4:00 am Saturday June 25, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born September 19, 1918 to Ollie and Henry Beasley in Hillsboro, IL. He married Sylvia Shirley Jeske on May 9, 1943. They had been married 68 years. Surviving are his wife Shirley, one daughter; Sherry Garb of Glenview, IL, one granddaughter; Amber West of Weaverville, NC, one great-grandson; Fred Everett Raymond West and one great-granddaughter; Morgaine Winter West, sisters; Bertha Henry of Midlothian, VA and Betty Jo Sumpter of Atwater, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. He was an M.P. in World War II serving in the United States Army. He worked at Caterpillar for 32 years. He owned Scrooge & Marley’s antique shop with his wife. They traveled extensively setting up at antique shows. He loved to garden, planting flowers, and refinishing furniture. He will be forever in our hearts. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
