Obituary for Okie Lee Johnson
Mr. Okie Lee Johnson 73, of Peoria who was born January 30, 1936 in Drew, MS. The son of the late Clarence and Mary Tyler Johnson. He departed this life on September 22, 2009 at Methodist Medical center. He was married to Barbara Terry. She survives in Peoria. He was the youngest sibling of 13 children. A twin of Oakree “Sis” Birchfield. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, one daughter, Linda Marie Young of Peoria, one sister Ozil Johnson of Toledo, OH, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Cremation has been accorded and his memorial service will be Wednesday September 30, at 1 p.m. at Grace Apostolic Assembly, 1523 Laramie Peoria. Dist. Elder James Ware will officiate. The repast will be immediately after the service at the church. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
