Norma was known for her outspoken sense of humor and her love of life. She played golf almost daily after retirement and loved meeting her friends for coffee every morning. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home and yard. Prior to retiring, she worked nearly 30 years at the Creve Coeur Water department as a bookkeeper.
Norma was married to Pete Mastaglia, who passed away in 1978. Norma is survived by her daughter, Renee Vaughn, beloved family members Marty and Lori Dunne, as well as her sister, Lois Mardis and many nieces and nephews. Daughter Lynn Mastaglia preceded her in death in 1997.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, Illinois at a future date.
Memorials for Norma may be sent to Sam’s Midway Animal Rescue, Hanna City, Illinois or TAPS Animal Rescue in Pekin, Illinois.
The family would like to take the opportunity to thank the UnityPoint Hospice team for exceptional care these past few months. As well, a special thank you to Dean and Elaine Meyer and Sharon Swanson who provided compassionate and loving service through this difficult time. Norma was blessed to have wonderful and caring neighbors and friends who were always there to lend a hand.
