Obituary for Nora Dalton

Nora Lee Deemie Dalton, 83, of Peoria passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:25 p.m. at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born June 26, 1935 to Harold W. Deemie and Juanita Brisbin Deemie Young in Peoria. Nora married Elmer E. (Chenk) Dalton, October 5, 1951. He passed March 15, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Deenis Ray Dalton; sister, Elenor (Sis) Tally Floyd and brothers, Charles (Porky) Jansen, Bill Jansen and Walter (Bubby) Deemie. She is survived by her children, Terry Lee (Robin) Dalton of Chillicothe, IL, J. Linn Dalton Hafele of Lake Lure, NC, Tonyia A. (Peanut) Dalton Allender of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Tammy Dalton, Tommy Dalton, Amy Clark, Gary Hafele, A.J. Hafele, Ryan Hafele, D.J. Hafele, Slena Allender, Chris Allender, John Allender, Stephanie Allender; great-grandchildren, Jacob Clifton, Jenna Clifton, Jarred Clifton, Ashley Dalton, Tyler Clark, Jesslinn Clark, Nathanial Clark, Faust Fauble, Jayde Fauble, Mkayla Smedley, Channing Allender, Athia Smith, Javin Smith, Dylan Allender, Kaleb Allender; great-great-grandchildren, Ashton Clark, Andrew Clifton and brother, Robert (Dutch) Deemie of Colorado Springs, CO. Nora worked and retired from FW Means in Peoria, IL. She graduated from Flamingo Beauty Salon in 2003 and continued to teach for many years. She was well known for her singing and playing her guitar. She was funny and loved her family and grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Eagles Club.
