Obituary for Nancy L. Yancick
Nancy L. Yancick, 68 of Morton, Illinois died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday November 4,2008 at her daughters home (Angela Hub) of Morton, IL.
Born October 7, 1940 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of George and Bertha (Grant) Smith. She married Peter F. Yancick on January 1, 1964 in Peoria, Illinois.
He survives along with three sons, Paul L. Yancick of Peoria, Matthew B. Yancick of Pekin, Peter M. Yancick of Peoria; one daughter, Angela M. (Yancick) Hub of Morton; Three grandsons, Egon Yancick, Zachary Yancick and Nicklaus Hub; one granddaughter, Hannah Hub. Her parents preceded her in death. Nancy attended Manual High School graduating in 1958. Nancy last worked at Hometown Pharmacy in Morton until her retirement in 2007. She had previously worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Payroll and the Accounts Payable Department. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to garage sales. She liked working with the public and taking time to get to know her customers. All that knew her will miss her dearly. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton, Illinois with only the immediate family attending. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Midwest Affiliate of Peoria, IL. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
