Obituary for Nancy Jo Thomas
Nancy Jo Thomas, of San Jose, passed away August 13, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Pekin.
Nancy was born on May 15, 1953, to Roberta “Pete” and Gordon “Bud” Hoeft. They preceded her in death, along with one granddaughter, Tressa Harmon, and one sister, Diane Hoeft.
She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Earl Thomas, on December 26, 1970. He survives. She is also survived by her 10 children, Angella (Steve) Eldridge of Pekin, Heather Thomas of San Jose, Chris (Brandi) Thomas of Pekin, Ryan (Heather) Thomas of Pekin, Nicole (Jeff) Schaffrin of Metamora, Joseph (Jen) Thomas of Spring Lake, Seth (Breanne) Thomas of Spring Lake, Dustin (Julia) Thomas of San Jose, Ashley (Gary) France of Metamora, and Dylan (Rachelle) Thomas of Green Valley. She was also the best “Nanny” to 36 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Nancy spent her whole life, from the young age of 17, as a stay at home mom. If there was anything she would want to be remembered for it would be the dedication and love she had for her children and grandchildren.
Cremation rights have been accorded. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
