Miles Paul Baysingar, 76, of Morton, IL passed away at 2:05 a.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
He was born March 19, 1944 in Peoria, IL to Miles A. and Florence R. Roemer Baysingar.
He married Lois Jeanette English on July 31, 1965 in Dillon, SC; she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents Miles Andrew Baysingar, Florence R. Baysingar; stepmother, Lulu Sherman Baysingar; son, James Stewart; brothers, Leslie U. Baysingar and Gerald L. Baysingar.
He is survived by his children, Lex (Reba) Stewart of East Peoria, IL, Bryan “Cheech” Baysingar of Metamora, IL , Paul (Michelle) Baysingar of Lexington, IL; grandchildren, Gage Stewart, Audrey Cejka, Miles Baysingar, Serenity Auth, Tyler Baysingar; brothers, Larry (Susan) Baysingar of Woodhull, IL, Rodney (Carolyn) Baysingar of Altona, IL; sisters, Sandy (Roy) Fredrickson of Galesburg, IL, Rose (Jeff) Martinson of Altona, IL, Judy (Thomas) Hartman of Port Charlotte, FL, Milenda (special friend, Mike Adams) Baysingar of Kewanee, IL, Laura (Mindy) Wilson of Kewanee, IL; sisters-in-law, Debbie Baysingar of Galesburg, IL, Patsy English of Dillon, SC and brothers-in-law, Truett (Sandy) English of Bingham, SC and Mackie (Nancy) English of Dillon, SC.
Miles graduated from ROWVA High School in Oneida, IL in 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1965 and in the Reserves after. He retired as a Sprinkler Fitter for Local 669 last working for the Hitchcock Company.
He was a member of the East Peoria Boat Club and enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, music, and NASCAR racing. He was a Green Bay Packer fan. He was pretty proud of his 37 years of sobriety.
Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Morton Rescue Squad in his name.
