Obituary for Michael Viti
Michael “Mike” P. Viti, 82, of Pekin Passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hallmark House Nursing Home in Pekin. He was born September 16, 1931 in Chicago to Michael and Rose Santucci Viti. He married Marie Bianco August 2, 1951 in Chicago. She preceded him in death July 13, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Jo Hernandez and daughter-in-law, Vickie Viti. He is survived by his sons, Michael Viti of Glendale Heights, Vince (Jean) Viti of Fox Lake; daughters, Angela (Jim) Phillips of Hoffman, Pamela (Alan) Figurski of Pekin; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Tootie) Quattrochi of Chicago; sister, Lorraine of Chicago and many nieces and nephews. Mike was a truck driver and worked in construction. He later worked for K-Mart. He was of the Catholic Faith. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin with visitation two hours prior at the funeral home. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the family.
