Michael "Mike" Owen Horr, Age 68, of Canton, IL passed away Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at 4:55 AM at Sunset Manor in Canton, IL.
Michael was born on July 14th, 1952 to Virgil Horr and Lois (Evans) Horr; his parents preceded him in death.
Mike was a graduate of Canton High School in 1971. Michael was a beloved husband, father, and regularly helped the local food pantry to provide for those in need. He retired in 2011 after working for Caterpillar in Mossville for 40 years. He loved to listen to music, especially the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and Bob Dylan.
Michael married Carolyn S. (Dick) Horr on July 23rd, 1988. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn S. (Dick) Horr; children, Timothy (Horr) Chernobrov and husband, Ron Chernobrov, Matthew Barnes and wife, Stephanie Barnes, Aaron Barnes and wife, Brittany Barnes; sisters, Cynthia (Horr) Chisolm and husband, Bill Chisolm, Dixie (Horr) Kovachevich and husband, Vic Kovachevich; two grandchildren, Sydney Barnes, Wesley Barnes and numerous nieces, nephews and longtime friend, Jim Gunn.
The family would like to express their thanks to Sunset Nursing Home and Transitions Hospice for their wonderful help and care.
