Obituary for Michael Merriman
Michael L. Merriman, 63, of Pekin, IL passed away Wednesday August 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1949 in Decatur, IL to the late Corky Merriman and Monna Osborn Harris. He married Linda Ridgeway on October 20, 1967 in Decatur, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tina (Joe) Lindquist of Pekin, IL and Traci Uhlman of Tremont, IL; six grandchildren, Kirsten, Zachary, Austin, Andrew, Duncan and Sophie; two sisters, Vickie (Lonnie) Sayles of Decatur, IL and Pat Feddick of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Merriman was a life time member of VFW Post 5224 in Decatur, IL. He was a 38 year Army Veteran. He retired in July 2008 as a SGM. He liked NASCAR, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears. As his dying wish cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
