Obituary for Michael J. Monckton
Michael J. Monckton, 66, of Morton passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at his residence.
He was born September 30, 1957, in Peoria to John and Betty Rogers Monckton. His father and brothers, Richard Monckton and Daniel Monckton preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Matthew (Shannon) Monckton, Samantha (Ryan) Bannon; grandchildren, Graham, Kensey, Sloane; mother, Betty Monckton; former wife, Susan J. Monckton and siblings, David Monckton, Nancy (Rick) Meyers, Patrick (Mary) Monckton, Diane (Eric) Anderson and William (Jill) Monckton.
Michael worked for Sprinkmanns Insulation, retiring in 2016.
He loved his family and his pets, Kit, Libbie, and Maxine. He enjoyed NASCAR races, Chicago Cubs, Illini football and basketball, golfing, and vacationing.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Brickhouse 1021 N Cummings Lane, Washington, IL 61571.
