Michael A. Hughes, 43, of Pekin passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Pekin.
He was born on October 30, 1982, in Pekin.
Michael is survived by his mother, Martha "Marty" May Mercer; sisters, Amanda Long, Sonya Donahue and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Michael Sutter; stepfather, Robert Mercer and brothers, Owen Michael Sutter and Terrence Wesley Sutter.
Michael worked building homes.
He loved life and enjoyed riding his bike.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Pekin Township Building 420 Elizabeth Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
