Mary Margaret Sturgeon, 75, of East Peoria, Illinois passed away at home with her family by her side, on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 2:17 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, James Sturgeon; daughter, Lisa Scott of Monmouth, Illinois; stepson, JJ Sturgeon of Texas; grandchildren, Rachel and Blake Leeper of Illinois, Emily Scott of Bloomington, Illinois; great grandchild, Charlotte Leeper; sisters, Sharon and Barb Friday of Pekin, Illinois and brother, Hugh (Linda) Friday of Georgia.
Mary was an avid bowler and enjoyed music and dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked customer service in grocery stores her entire life. Mary was definitely a people's person. She was very ornery and like to play practical jokes and have fun all the time.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Avantis in Pekin.
