Obituary for Mary King
Mary Alice King, 85, of Pekin, IL passed away Thursday May 31, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born January 28, 1927 in Pekin, IL to James and Celia Jene Charlton. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twin brother, Robert Dean. She is survived by her son, Michael (Joan) King of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Lincoln King, Josh King, Malia King, Morgan King and five great-grandchildren. Mary worked for Pekin Insurance for 40 years retiring in 1989 where she was in the 25 year Club and Retirees Club. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL where a funeral mass will be held Monday June 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Fr. James Pankiewicz will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic School in her name.
