Obituary for Mary Harrington
Mary L. Harrington, 76, of Peoria passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born June 21, 1943 in Hannibal, MO to Clemeth and Lucille Doby Harrington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edmund Harrington, Lawrence Harrington, Earl Doby and sisters, Kathryn Harrington, Clementine Harrington, Rosie Buchanan and Loretta Saunders.
She is survived by her brother, John (Tammy) Saunders; sister, Fannie Massey and numerous, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mary enjoyed dancing, sewing, listening to music, dominos, playing cards and taking care of animals. She was the life of the party. Mary knew how to make everyone laugh and have a good time. She was a very free giving kindhearted lady and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She had a compassion for taking care of everyone and she loved to help out wherever and whenever she was needed. Mary loved spending time with her family, she will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 1536 S. Stanley St., Peoria, IL 61605. Pastor Patrick Randall will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Harrington Family to assist with arrangements.
