Obituary for Mary Christeen Bishop
Mary Christeen Bishop, 92, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Loft of East Peoria.
She was born on March 16, 1933, in Morrilton, AR to Henry S. and Ella L. Willey Hamm. Her parents; children, Linda F. Hamp, Racheal L. Hamp, James A. Bishop and siblings, Thelma Wilson, James Hamm, Danny Ray Hamm and Lorene Craig preceded her in death.
Mary is survived by her children, Rita (William) Davis, Brenda Forcum; grandchildren, Bill R. (Teresa) Davis Jr., Neil R. Davis, Kai (Stephenie) Bishop, Keri (Nate) Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Landon Davis, Cole Bishop, Chase Bishop, Ethan Montgomery, Nolan Montgomery, Cameron Montgomery, Makayla McKinny, Marty Kenny, Cory Kenny, Seth Zuercher, Holly Zuercher; one great-great-grandchild and sister, Rose Rainwater.
She retired from Caterpillar after 22 ½ years.
Mary was a loving, caring, devoted mother and grandmother. She always had an open heart and hand for those in need. She enjoyed music, dancing, ice cream and time with family.
Your work here is done. God welcomes his daughter home. Will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
