Obituary for Mary C. Nance
Mary C. Nance, 76, of Hanna City passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her residence.
She was born July 31, 1944 in Peoria to Dewey and Ethel Lanham Parrott.
She married John R. Nance in Peoria; he preceded her in death March 8, 1989. Her parents; fiancée, Howard Reich; sisters, Bernadine Holtke, Sally Hainline and brothers, Charles Lee Parrott, William Parrott, and Robert Parrott also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Jewely Mellendorf, Tammy Harris, Heidi (Jeff) Mueller; grandchildren, Johnathon Harris, Amber (Timothy) Smullen, Samuel (fiancée, Tara Thompson) Iverson, Autumn Mueller, Alexus Mueller and greatgrandchild, Trinity Iverson.
Mary worked for ICC retiring in 2011. Her family was the most important priority in her life. She enjoyed picnics, cookouts and trips to Ohio, Kentucky, and Carolina. She also enjoyed antiquing, bowling, garage sales, gardening and having lunch with her friends. She was a devoted Christian.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Pekin Lighthouse Church 1010 El Camino Drive, Pekin, IL 61554. Pastor Rick Hill will officiate.
