Obituary for Mary Ann Smiles
Mary Ann Smiles, 61, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at her residence.
She was born October 4, 1961, in Peoria to Lewis C. and Shirley J. Doran Sisler. Her father; sister, Marilyn Gerhardt and niece, Arden Thornsbury preceded her in death.
She married William E. Smiles February 25, 2011, in Peoria; he survives. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Sisler; stepdaughters, Crystal (Travis) Cluraghty, Jennifer (Dave) Ess; grandchildren, Felicia Cluraghty, Matthew Cluraghty, Trevor Cluraghty; siblings, Mike Sisler, David (Ieda) Sisler, Sue Ellen Cousino; nieces and nephews, Bradley (Mckayla), Lauren, Heather (Dale), Abbey, Nathan, Benjamin, Katie and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mary Ann worked as a Senior Secretary for the City of DeKalb, retiring in 2013.
She loved her family and her longtime friends very much. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling and hiking.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
