Obituary for Marvin L. Bales Sr.
Marvin L. Bales Sr., 78, of Pekin passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1941 in Peace Valley, Missouri to Lawrence and Beulah Bales. He married Cary J. Cox on August 21, 1975 in West Plains, Missouri, she survives. He is also survived by his children, Jodi Schauwecker, Angela (Larry) Thomas, Marvin (Michele) Bales Jr. and Pamela Eldert; one granddaughter, Tiffany Thomas he raised; 8 additional grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Imogene (Tom) Lovell and one brother, Melvin Bales. He was proceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers (Ed and Michael). He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. He retired from Kroger’s as a Meat Manager with 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends on holiday cookouts and gatherings. Per his wish’s cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
