Obituary for Marlene Carpenter
Marlene Carpenter 70, of Peoria passed away on Monday March 10, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Peoria on Dec 15, 1937 to William and Mary Anton Carpenter. She is survived by her son James (Chrissy) Fleming of Peoria, sisters; Wanda Blase of Peoria, Glenda Shellenberger of Belleview, Shirley Karth of Yates City, grandchildren; Kolton, Hunter, Stormi, Corey, Cortney and Miranda, 3 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and 1 sister and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Marlene worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for Acme Manufacturing, retiring in 1996. Cremation has been accorded and burial of cremains will be held on Monday March 17, at 10 a.m. at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made in her name to the American Diabetic Research Foundation. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
