Obituary for Marilyn Pierce
Marilyn E. Pierce, 62, of Rome passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born April 11, 1957 in Peoria to Donald R. and Mildred L. Cundiff Pierce. Her parents; two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie A. Pierce; grandchildren, Gabriel Pierce, Vivian Pierce and siblings, Donna Robbins and Paulette Waldinger. Marilyn worked at the U.S. Post Office until retiring in 2009. She enjoyed motorcycles and being a Hippy. She was simple and kindhearted. She loved animals but most of all her daughter and grandkids. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Shore Acres Park in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to the Ark Animal Shelter in Lacon in her name.
