Obituary for Marilyn Baker
Marilyn Kay Baker, 78, of Peoria passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 16, 1942 in Peoria to Elbert and Elizabeth Cazey Short.
She married Donald D. Baker October 10, 1964 in Peoria; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Scott (Cecillia) Baker, Lisa (Jesus) Covarrubias; grandchildren, Adam Baker, Alex Covarrubias, Addian Covarrubias and sisters, Sharon Goodman and Darlene Hernan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn worked as a phone operator for a marketing company until retiring in 1992. She loved her family and friends. She loved to bake and watching TV especially the cooking channel. She enjoyed gatherings and her macaroni salad everyone loved. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Chicago Bulls fan.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
