Obituary for Marilou King
Marilou King 74, of Elmwood passed away on Saturday November 28, 2009 at Methodist Hospital. Born in Peoria to Joseph and Nina Threw Howard on September 6, 1935. She married Ellery B. King in Elmwood on July 6, 1957. He survives along with her children: Jim (Glynis) King of Springboro, OH, Terri (Ben) German of Yates City, stepchildren: Butch (Darlene) King of London Mills, Jennifer Wilson of Farmington, brothers: Hap (Nancy) Howard and Bruce Howard both of Elmwood, sisters: Bette McCoy of Elmwood, Linda (Wayne) Kersh of Farmington, grandchildren: Bobby German, Ashley and Kyle King, 4 step grandchildren: Amy Wright, Nick German, Jacob Wilson and Matt McMahill and her 2 great grandchildren Hannah and Karli Wright. Her parents and brother Larry Howard preceded her in death. Marilou worked for Country Florist in Elmwood and was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Canton where a memorial service will be held on Saturday December 5, at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Barr will officiate. She is now in heaven with her lord and savior. She loved her family, the flag, her country and her garage sales. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Faith Bible Camp in Yates City. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
