Obituary for Marie Vogel
Marie Josephine Vogel, 97, of Pekin passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Pekin Manor. She was born May 17, 1917 in Manito to Harry and Mary Gollon Parkin. She married Lester Vogel February 10, 1938 in Havana. He preceded her in death October 13, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Annette (Kurt) Rankin; daughter-in-law, Vicki Vogel; son-in-law, Robert Grady; grandson, Gregory Rankin; granddaughters, Tracey Fryman, Betty Marie Schmidt and one great-grandson, Brayden Scott Vogel. She is survived by her sons, John (Diane), David, Kenneth, Lester (Lee Ann); daughters, Mary (Terry) Holcomb, Patricia Grady-Ort and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a memorial mass will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church in her name.
