Obituary for Maria Angela Faccio
Maria Angela Faccio, 81, of Pekin, IL formerly of Biella, Italy where she lived most of her life passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Pekin. She was born in Italy to Albino Faccio and Antonia Caraffa on February 19, 1938. She married Francesco Lanza; he preceded her in death March 2, 2016. Her parents; two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Gianfranco (Jennifer) Lanza; granddaughter, Chiara Lanza; great-granddaughter, Erika Garcia many dear nieces, nephews and other family members in Italy. Maria Angela loved her husband very much and took wonderful care of him in the final months of his life with the help of Massimo, Alessandra and Piero. She loved cooking and cats; most of all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed. Per her wish’s cremation has been accorded and a memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, 424 Lourdes Church Road, Germantown Hills, IL 61548. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
