Obituary for Margaret Voll
Margaret L. Voll, 70, of Pekin, IL passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born June 17, 1944 in Peoria, IL to Albert and Norma Reinholtz Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Brian Taylor of Mechanicsville, VA; sister, Joan Cheneler of Peoria, IL and nephew, Joseph Cheneler of Peoria, IL. Margaret was a graduate of Pekin High School and Illinois State University. She was a very gifted teacher. She taught Special Education in Belleville, IL School District 118 at Jefferson School for 42 years. She loved to travel, often traveling with her mother. She visited Switzerland and every state except Hawaii. Margaret was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a devoted caregiver and took good care of her mother the last few years. She liked to put on special events. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL at 12 Noon. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, IL. Rev. David Craig will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Benefit of Joseph T. Cheneler at Southside Bank in Peoria, IL in her name.
