Obituary for Margaret Rose
Margaret Schaut Rose passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1929, to Alvin and Eva Schaut in Mt. Carroll, IL. She attended Mt. Carroll schools, Frances Shimer College and Northern University in DeKalb, IL.
She taught at Kingsbury School in Erie, IL, Common Place Pre-School, and worked as a secretary at the American Cancer Society for 19 years. She loved to play golf and was a member of the Elks Lodge #20 Emblem Club.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Alvin “Bud” Rose, two brothers, one sister and an infant son.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Wineland of East Peoria, Ann (John) White, of West Peoria, three grandchildren Stephanie Switzer, Margaret Venzon and David White, three great-grandchildren, Robert (Danielle) Boland, Elizabeth Venzon, and Sophia Venzon, as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Eli and Levi Boland.
There will be a private family graveside service in Morrison IL.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, Peoria IL.
