Obituary for Margaret Holmes
Margaret Ann Holmes, 87, of Pekin passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at her residence.
She was born March 23, 1933 in Dry Grove, IL to Frank and Effie Weimer Hoeft.
She married Kenneth Holmes, Sr., he preceded her in death in May 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Lipkin, Lucille Carter and brothers, Russell Hoeft, Victor Hoeft and Harley Hoeft.
She is survived by her children, Lori (Ronnie) Thomason of Pekin, Mike (Diana) Hadley of Bartonville, Kenny Holmes, Jr. of Bartonville; grandchildren, Joshua (Alyna) Greenslate, Jeremy (Natalie) Greenslate, Danna Hadley, Kenny Holmes III and nine great-grandchildren.
Margaret worked in the Xray Department at Methodist Hospital retiring in 1980. She was a member of Peoria Area Blind Peoples Center until 2011. She and her husband, Ken did voluntary service for the center.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice of Peoria in her name.
