Obituary for Marcia Dyer
Marcia Celeste Dyer, 62, of Lady’s Island, SC formerly of Pekin passed away on Sunday August 5, 2012 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Marcia was born on March 18, 1950 in Pekin, IL, to Charles L. & Enis (Baldi) DuPage. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dyer of Lady’s Island, SC, her daughter, Charla “Charlie” Tabet of Chicago, IL: her mother of Pekin; one sister Tamra (Mike) Williams of Pekin, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, sister Antonia DuPage-Young, and step-daughter Jamie Dyer-Dordek. Marcia worked for over 30 years as a CPA. Along with her work, she was a lifetime member of AMVETS and the American Legion where she helped organize many events. Marcia also had a passion for playing scrabble and making jewelry. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father James Pankiewicz will officiate with burial of cremains to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marcia’s name can be made to: Susan G.
