Marcella J. Jones, 100, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Carle Health Pekin.
She was born March 12, 1924, in Moline.
She married Lawrence Jones; he preceded her in death in 1972. He parents; son, Jeffrey Jones and daughter, Casey Bailey also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Kelly Lane, Lindsay Burden, Stephanie Jones, Jennifer Jones, Christopher Jones; great-grandchildren, Aliya Hamblin, Phoenix Lane, Riley Bailey, Blaize Burden, Shiloh Tyler and great-great-grandson, Eli Malcome.
Marcella worked for a department store and loved being a volunteer for 40 years for the Red Cross.
She loved her family and was an avid card player. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She loved college basketball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
