Obituary for Lucy Glasford
Lucy Glasford 92, of Mapleton went to be with our Lord on Friday November 2, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Mapleton on April 8, 1920 to Thomas and Madeline Beoletto Chiotte. She married Lloyd D. Glasford in Palmyra, MO on August 20, 1941, he proceeded her to our Lord on May 26, 2011. Her parents, a granddaughter and one brother preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, Audrey (Nate) McNary of Mapleton, Lloyd (Cathy) Glasford, Jr. of Georgia, John (Julie) Glasford of South Dakota and Mark (Judy) Glasford of South Dakota, many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Lucy was a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She made her house a warm loving home that always had the sweet smell of home baking and delicious meals. She enjoyed gardening and canned all the garden bounty. Lucy and Lloyd enjoyed great retirement years through there 70 years of marrage and traveled throughout the country visiting family, friends and exploring the sights of the US. Lucy lived a dedicated life to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, where a funeral mass will be held on Wednesday November

th at 10 AM Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be held at ABTS Mortuary on Tuesday November 6th from 5 to 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
