Obituary for Louisa E. Bonnette
Louisa E. Bonnette 88, of Pekin passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at her daughters home in Pekin surrounded by family. Born in Pekin to John and Alice Genson Berra on Oct 16, 1919. She married Ferd H. Bonnette in Lincoln on Oct 1, 1936, he preceded her in death on Feb 20, 1991. Also preceding are 3 brother, 2 sisters, 1 grandson. She is survived by her children; Tony (Jan) Bonnette of Creve Coeur, Linda (Ray) Ennis and Sandra (Howard) Bertchtold both of Pekin, sister Lorraine Trumpy of Pekin, 7 grand, 9 great grand and 1 great great granddaughter. Louisa worked on the Bottling Line at American Distillery for 30 years, retiring in 1982 and was co-owner of Bonnette Shop for 19 years. She enjoyed her dolls and dollhouse miniature collections and enjoyed crocheting. She was of the Catholic faith. A funeral service will be held for her on Friday June 20, at Abts Mortuary at 11 a.m. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale memorial gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
