Obituary for Loretta Biggs
Loretta E. Biggs, 71, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Pekin Hospital. She was born April 6, 1942 in Pekin to Julian W. and Virginia M. Greene Roots. She married Richard Biggs January 31, 1966 in Pekin. He preceded her in death April 4, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister and one son, Richard Biggs Jr. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Terry) Bohnert of Pekin, Rick Biggs of Pekin, Terry Biggs of Pekin, Tammy Biggs of Pekin, Edna (Allen Sr.) Roark of Peoria, Mary Lou (David) Romer of Peoria; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Twila) Roots of Missouri and sister, Neva Farson of Pekin. Loretta worked for Pekin School District 108. She loved to talk on her CB Radio and listen to her scanner. She was a die hard Cub fan. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Fusion (the old Elks Club) in Pekin on Sabella and Capital from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please bring a covered dish. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society in her name.
