Obituary for Lonnie Gibson Sr.
Lonnie L. Gibson Sr., 69, of Bartonville passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born February 21, 1950 in Peoria to Clayton L. and Lela Medley Gibson. He married Debby K. Humphres; she preceded him in death August 9, 2013. His parents; brothers, Don Buthram, Kenneth Perkins, Roger Gibson, Steven Gibson, Kevin Gibson and sister, Billie Salyars also preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Debby S. (Joseph) Schweickert, Lonnie L. Gibson Jr., Brandy J. Humphres, Nicole D. Boseke, Tyler (Kelsie) Gibson, Margaret M. Gibson; grandchildren, Joseph III, Meagan, Allison, Rachael, Marissa, Peyton, Lonnie III, Kaylee, Jordan, Alyssa, Addison, Logan, Landen, Chase Andy and sibling, Bobbydale Gibson. Lonnie served in the Military during the Viet Nam War and worked as a cement truck driver until retiring in 2010. He loved car races, fishing, festivals on the river and riding his Harley, but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren. Per his wish’s cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
