Obituary for Laura Bennett
Laura J. Bennett, 76, of Havana passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born June 30, 1942 in Topeka to Harold and Beulah Hinrich Bennett. Her parents and brothers, James Bennett and Gerald Bennett preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Stephen A. (Bonnie) Bennett; nieces and nephews, John Bennett, Liz Cheek, Jeff Bennett, Julie Petty, Brian Bennett, Scott Bennett, Jill Hockett and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Laura was a schoolteacher, retiring in 2009. She loved to travel and had many adventures. She also loved her animals but most of all she loved her family. She enjoyed being a teacher; she was kindhearted and thoughtful of others. Laura was an elder of Central Christian Church of Havana. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in her name.
